Safe, Sustainable and Financed Motorways of the Sea

 - Joint MSUO and Baltic Sea Region Interreg IIIB NP Conference

The MSUO and Baltic Sea Region Interreg IIIB NP is holding a joint conference to discuss the use of the Motorways of the Sea concept to promote sustainable and safe transport of goods. The Conference will examine the importance of Motorways of the Sea in promoting transport links between ports in the Baltic and Scandinavia to other European and neighbouring ports (Mediterranean, Atlantic, etc.). The Conference will also seek to identify the possible mechanisms to encourage and fund Motorways of the Sea Projects in the next EU transnational programme for 2007 to 2013.

 

The host of the event is the Finnish Ministry of Interior.
